The practice nurses (links to: Nurses Profile) are able to administer all childhood immunisations during their routine clinics. Childhood immunisations take up a single appointment slot. If you have more than one child to immunise, please book an appointment for each child.
Below is a timetable of childhood immunisations – we would ask that you contact us to book your child in as they approach each milestone.
Our nurses will normally book the 12 week and 16 week immunisations at the 8 and 12 week appointment respectively to ensure both continuity of care and adherence to the timetable.
Childhood Immunisation Timetable

Due at 12 weeks: 2nd DTaP.IPV.HIB (Pediacel) & 1st Meningitis C
Due at 16 weeks: 3rd DTaP.IPV.HIB (Pediacel) & 2nd Pneumococcal (Prevenar) & 2nd Meningitis C

NB: If you have moved to the UK from abroad and have young children, it is possible that they will have had a Tetanus/Diphtheria/Polio booster at 18 months. If this is the case, the UK preschool booster can only be administered three years after this – at age 5.
Due at 13-18 years: DT.IPV (school leaver booster)
If you can’t make it in to Thurleigh Road, clinics are also held at the Tooting Bec Medical Centre on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Details can be found in the Local Healthcare section.
If your child receives immunisations elsewhere, please let us know so we can update our records.
