She qualified at St. Thomas’ Hospital in 1977. She is married with six children, lives locally and has worked in general practice for 16 years. After qualifying, Jo worked in a busy oncology unit in Australia before returning to become ward Sister on the ENT and orthopaedic wards at St. Thomas’. Jo was Sister in Charge at the opening of the Lister Hospital in 1986. Jo runs daily minor illness clinics at the Practice.
